Last Monday, I went to morning tea with some of the ladies from the tramping club.We had a nice get together. I will organize it again before we leave in February.
The gas fitter came and is going to get the parts to put a bayonet in for the gas bbq, so we will have 1 less gas bottle to carry around. The gas fitter will connect a pipe to the gas pipe that comes into the caravan for the stove and hot water. We are stillwaiting for him to come back with the parts and he came nearly a week ago. If he doesn't hurry, we'll be gone again.
We found some fans that use 12 volts in Mitre 10 so we bought a couple. Eddie put one above the tv for me and 1 on the end of the bench for him. They are quite nice on a hot day.
We woke up at 5 one morning with a great thunderstorm that went on for quite a long time. When it stopped we went back to sleep until about 7. Jim said there was 35 mls in the water gauge.
Our wifi stopped working properly. It was very slow, so I rang wireless nation and they did something at their end to fix it. It was off for a couple of hours. It is better now.
We went to see friends on Sunday afternoon. When we arrived their dog, Boss, who is a 10 month old Staffordshire terrier, greeted us. He is very strong and bouncy. He leapt up on me and scratched an inch long scratch on the back of my hand. It is quite deep too. Eddie got one about 12 inches long across his knee and one behind his knee. Rose was rather embarrassed. She managed to find some dressings to cover our wounds.
When I was walking one day I realized that what I had originally thought were weeds were actually young oak trees. It's a whole forest growing up under the parent trees.
