A visit to Papamoa

Eddie had a cold last week, so he hasn’t been to work all week. He went back today. His nose has been like a tube of really sticky glue since the weekend. It is finally feeling better today and he can breathe again.

He finally  got his appointment on Monday morning to have the growth taken off his eyelid. It is happening on the 20th June, so not too far away now.  It is done under a local anaesthetic, so he doesn’t have to go in hungry.

On Saturday, I went up to Tauranga ( about an hour north of where we are living now) and caught up with my friends.I went to Peru with. Shiree, Jenny and Annmarie who was going to come with us and didn’t in the end. We haven’t seen each other for about 2 years. It was nice to see them again. We had a lot of laughs all day. Annmarie is house sitting for a friend in Papamoa. I have attached a picture of her front garden and the view of the sea. It’s a crazy house. It started off small and has grown, so it’s a bit like a maze to find your way in. There is so much stuff too. Ornaments from all over the world. It is very busy and I think it would drive me nuts. Jenny thought the owner should start up a shop and sell it all ha ha.

The views were lovely and the weather was so nice for a visit.

It's the first time I have driven myself anywhere for ages. I am usually the passsenger. It's amazing how quickly one can lose confidendence when you don't drive very often. I was very pleased with myself when I got home.
